Description
PEPPERS, MACEDONIAN UVO
Peppers, Macedonian UVO are New Jersey grown at Miladinov Farm and harvested fresh for roasting, cooking and preserving. The name Uvo means “ear” in Macedonian, referring to the pepper’s distinctive shape. This pepper is well suited for Ajvar, a traditional Balkan roasted pepper spread or relish commonly made by roasting peppers, removing the skins, and cooking them into a rich spread, sometimes with eggplant and other ingredients. Macedonian Uvo peppers can also be roasted, grilled, cooked into sauces or used in other homemade recipes where a flavorful roasting pepper is desired.
